Welcome to Urgo's YouTube Orbit for July 1st 2010. I know this isn't a standard YouTube Orbit but since I dedicated so much of my time to this recently I wanted to share this with you all. You are watching the End Credits roll for the Mario Marathon. These guys played Mario games for 109 hours straight (that's Friday at 11am until Tuesday/Wednesday Midnight folks) and as a result raised over $81000 for the Child's Play Charity, a charity that donates books, toys, and video games to sick kids in Children's Hospitals all around the world. Almost a day later some late donations have still been coming in bringing the total to $81816 at the time I'm making this video. That's 7238 kids who can get a Mr. Potato Head to cheer them up, 628 DS Lites, or 1621 Harry Potter 7 book box sets! Sure these kids need medical attention too, but it's been proven that healing isn't just from medicine, if you are in a positive mood you are more likely to heal then if you are in a negative mood. So as a result of all these donations from all these names scrolling by an incredible amount of kids are going to be helped. Anyway this years marathon, the third year in a row they've done it has come to a close and while I was not sick or working most of the time I was awake I was watching it and chatting with them there, the other mods, and all of the fans as well. It's sad to see this incredible event come to a close but congrats to you Mario Marathon Team and congrats to everyone who helped out the <b>…</b>
