Amazon Appstore Needs To Fail (Urgo’s YTO 35 Day 331)
As a vetran smart phone user who has seen what the space was like before and after the ‘app store’ Amazon’s Appstore (as well as those by the various cell phone carriers but EXPECIALLY amazons) really bug me. When I want something for my device I prefer to
have one place to get it and one place that knows if there are updates. Having two or twenty places to try to find things is no fun. As much as I’m anti apple I thank them so much for bringing forward the appstore concept that each platform gathers all the
applications for it together.
What do you think? Should there be 100 different places for you to buy apps from for each phone? Would you prefer to be able to only download game X from X.com game y from y.com and so on? Or do you like having a central location?
