We’re still a go sort of at least 🙂 (OuterTube Gathering TODAY!)
So today OuterTube finally begins. It seems like its been forever in the making! That being said it looks like we’re going to have to cut back on the festivities a little bit. As of right now it looks like Raleigh is not going to be hit badly by the storm with anything other then some rain and stronger then normal winds but nowhere near hurricane strength. That being said Friday we’re going to go about the dinner meetup and most liekly go bowling Saturday instead of the park.

The Outer Banks portion of the trip is a big unknown right now though. It looks like its about to get hit hard with the storm so I recommend if you’re coming specifically for that to probably cancel.
TODAY the YouTube Gathering known as OuterTube will begin! OuterTube is a traditional style YouTube Gathering that will take place in public locations and other then the cost of a meal at a restaurant if you want to eat there are no costs!
We’ll start off having a dinner in the Raleigh area on Friday August 26th at a great BBQ place and then spend the day Saturday at a great park with lots of stuff to do there least of which is meeting with YouTubers! Then Saturday evening we’ll gather together for another dinner.
The next week after that we’ll transition from Raleigh to the OuterBanks and spend the week on the beach! Please note that the MAIN gathering events will be in the Raleigh area so you don’t have to attend the Outer Banks portion which will be more like a vacation to attend OuterTube. Please just stop on by if you can to either portion!

There are several hotels in the “Crossroads” area in Cary. This is sort of a middle ground area between downtown Raleigh the park. This could be a good location to stay prices are around $60-$90/night.
Accommodations in the Outer Banks:
renting a house is relatively cheap if done in groups. hotels are available too
