Yes the day has finally come that I jumped out of a plane! I’ve been talking about skydiving for probably about 6 years but the circumstances just never presented themselves to actually make it happen. Basically thanks to TammyFlores1’s son Chris that day finally happened today!
I actually wasn’t nervous at all as we were flying up to our drop height of about 9500 feet just taking in the scenes around the Outer Banks. One of the things we flew over while ascending was the site of the fight flight by the wright brothers way back when. I wonder if the wright brothers ever thought people might jump out of planes like on purpose when they were inventing them. My guess is not.
Anyway as for the experience itself it really was surreal I had to watch this video myself to fully see what happened. After jumping out of the plan you couldn’t really tell you were falling just a lot of wind and an awesome view. There really wasn’t all that much around to give the reference point so my body could tell it was moving.
All in all I’m so glad I finally did this and I’d really recommend it to everyone. It’s really safe and soooooo fun!
