I’m Letting Go (of Summer)

I'm Letting Go (of Summer) pictures

Friday Sept 23rd marks the first day of Fall so this past weekend Ender and I had one last hurrah in the park. To be honest the slightly cooler temperatures (mid 60s to mid 80s) is actually much better then the summer temperatures for going outside here so it won’t be our last time in the parks but it just feels different you know with summer being over and what not. The worst part being how it gets darker earlier.

Speaking of darkness as I said in the video we did actually go further then ever before (about 14 miles we were really tired after that) at Umstead State Park while filming this. I was a little scared while at the lake you see that I wouldn’t make it back before it got dark but fortunately I did. Next time perhaps I’ll go even further! Or at least explore the lake a little more.

The other scene you see in this video are some clips from Sparkcon which took place downtown Raleigh this weekend as well. They blocked off one of the streets for the festivities which included sidewalk (or road rather) art lots of it. I really liked the blue fish type thing the scene starts off with.

Anyway in the words of Josh Woodward who wrote the song you hear here I’m letting go of summer reluctantly welcoming in fall but hoping winter stays far enough away!
