Announcing Ellipsis
I just wanted to point everyone in the direction of band Ellipsis's website. After a bit of work from Russ the site is finally live, and Mac posted the first four mp3s there. I highly recommend visiting it and checking out the music section. Great music! For those who don't know, Ellipsis is the band that Mac, Rob, Shay (all from Umass) along with a few people from other schools have been working on for a few years now. They've gone through a bunch of names over the years (Bounce, Not Yet, MetaSign) and made many original songs. They have settled upon the name Ellipsis and their music style has matured as well. Fooled you, and you, and you, and of course YOU!
What a busy day. I figured running an april fools day page would generate a lot of traffic and be very popular, but I never imagined that over 325 links would be submitted! The day is still not over yet I generated almost as much traffic to urgo.org today then I did all last month! About 60,000 hits and 16,000 unique visitors! One nice person from www.kawvalley.net even donated $1 =] I have returned urgo dot org to its normal look and feel but if you want to see the april fools day page I saved it forever here. Today was a real fun day. I even got an orkut account out of it! .. Just wish I could get a metafilter account. Even though its only 8:30pm I'm getting ready to end my day as tomorrow I fly to texas to start my job. Go The Digital Realm. NOTE: visitors to the april fools page. Wow. I can't belive how many of you all fell for the joke. =] I sent out IM's to about 35 people in the past few hours and only about 3 figured out that the domain being sold was a joke. =] Anyway, urgo.org is NOT being sold. Happy April Fools Day hehe. I have been keeping a list of all the sites that pulled april fools pranks this year. Check out the list here and submit any that I missed. =] Hah Hah.
