This is an open letter to YouTube. Leave a comment below to sign your support. Also thumb the video up, favorite it, share it with your friends etc. Lets get youtube to notice this and take action! Dear YouTube, We the video viewers are finding the auto playing of the next video in our subscriptions/etc to be extremely annoying. We acknowledge that the feature should be there for when we do want it (for example to go into TV mode) but for the most part we do not want this feature on by default. With it on we don't have any time to comment on a video and many times videos get watched before we are ready to see them. We ask that you kindly give us the option to disable auto play by default rather then have to click it off every time we load a video. IE users.. get one of these browsers 🙂 Step 1) If using FireFox install Greasemonkey addons.mozilla.org If using IE you can get GM here: gm4ie.com (thanks otur1) Step 2) Install this greasemonkey script userscripts.org Step 3) No more autoplay!!! ** Note as of 10:30am on 8/2 I've updated the script so it kills the bar too!
