United Charges $75 To NOT Fly???

Delays happen from time to time its annoying but not the end of the world. My flight from Atlanta to Raleigh ended up being delayed about two hours and once all was said and done I got home about 3am. Needless to say that was a bit too late for likeing but it is what it is.

One thing however I am NOT happy about at all is United’s pricing policy. I understand change fees (begrudgingly) if you’re changing something for example taking another flight but I don’t understand where they get off charging a fee to NOT fly with them. If I decided to cancel half a leg on a confirmed flight I have to pay $75 (and will not get a refund of the paid part of the flight either for that matter). Whats more is if I just skipped that leg they’d cancel my entire ticket! Do you think this is fair?

Anyway as a result instead of just taking a direct flight to LA this weekend its taking me 5 flights to get there and two days worth of travel. The good news though is I get to see Ender for a little bit Saturday 🙂
